Effective or not? APOLOGY

In the case of the Native American Indians vs. the United States, upholding the oppression; the Native American Indians suffered for many generations and because of theses inhumane doings the outcome mandates a formal apology. In ordinance to this particular apology the importance of the content would be the effect of change it made. To begin the recovery process an apology needs to completed. The question that needs to be addressed is how is this apology going to compensate or heal the pain that these people suffered. The apology was a gesture to honor those people whose rights were violated. Also to further extend the empathy many Tribes were given currency to help pay costs of misfortune. I believe that it is extremely hard to apologize to the Native Americans. The situation could have positive and negative outcomes. This apology could help some individuals with the anger built up inside in relation to their heritage and ancestors. In contrast this apology could offend certain tribes who on their own prevailed and have survived entirely because of strength. It is never too late to admit that one is wrong. I think though that there are certain things that can never be apologized for. This apology categorizes in the middle. It is necessary however may never erase the events that occurred.
